We've been working hard behind the scenes, fine-tuning every aspect of the game – the physics, the graphics, and the intricate fishing mechanics. Over the years, we've spread our love for fishing to various platforms – PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android. I'd definitely have to check my rods and see if they're spinning ones instead.Guess what? It's that special time of the year again – Fishing Planet's anniversary celebration is here! □ Can you believe it's been 8 amazing years since we cast off into the gaming world with Fishing Planet on Steam?įrom the very beginning, we had a clear mission: to bring the joy of fishing straight to you, no matter where you are. I guess it's because both casting and spinning rods use lures, I just group them up together. Is there an easier way I could tell the difference between them? I'd definitely have to check my rods and see if they're spinning ones instead. For some lures is by far the best and for others floating is by far the best, completely depends on species and lake. Floating vs lures is definitely a matter of species like some said here. My response is for lure fishing with spinning or casting rods. But I think what you actually meant with your question is casting/spinning vs floating. I use spinning rods and reels for my lure fishing as much as possible. I also have never experienced casting rods catching more fish than spinning rods, I don't know where that statement comes from. They have less drag settings and much slower reel-in speed which causes much more fish lost with certain species that likes to swim towards you. Originally posted by Marshall_maz:I hate casting rods.
